The exact responsibilities and sequence depend on the home, property and quotation. These stages show the areas that normally need to be coordinated.
Home and site information
Confirm the preferred design, property location, intended use and known access or service constraints.
Approvals and planning
Identify the documentation, engineering, council, planning and building-certification requirements that apply.
Site and foundations
Complete required clearing, earthworks, drainage, footing or foundation work and prepare the delivery area.
Transport and placement
Coordinate the delivery route, unloading or crane requirements, positioning and access for installation crews.
Plumbing and electrical
Licensed trades connect approved water, wastewater, power and other services to the installed home.
Checks and handover
Finish required inspections, testing, certificates, commissioning and the agreed handover process.
Service connections
Qualified trades and property-specific planning matter.
Connections must suit the approved design and local requirements. The relevant work should be completed and certified by appropriately licensed professionals.
Electrical supply
Connection route, switchboard requirements, capacity, metering and any alternative-energy components need to be confirmed for the property.
Water and hot water
Available supply, pressure, connection distances and the selected hot-water system can influence the installation scope.
Wastewater and stormwater
Sewer, septic or other approved wastewater solutions, plus roof-water and site drainage, must be planned for the property.
Internet and other services
Data, gas or additional services should be discussed early if they need to be incorporated into the preparation or connection work.
Before delivery day
